Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy and headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, provides natural gas and electricity to nearly 6.8 million of Michigan's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties.POSITION SUMMARY: The Principle Tech Analyst is responsible for providing excellent analytic support to the BPA and Consumers Energy Team for Business Planning. The analyst researches, assimilates and analyzes data to help create business solutions through the use of technology and analytic techniques.There are 3 positions available and will be filled at appropriate levels supported by candidates' experience.These positions focus on financial work volume, unit, sales and forecasting, and work order data for the sake of improving the planning and forecasting results for the company. A large area of responsibility will be to develop scripts, reports, and functionality that enable robust management reporting. This includes working on machine-learning, RPA's and general automation.This position will be responsible for applying skill sets to deliver the above functionality as well as documenting best practices and deliberate knowledge transfer with team members.Responsibilities:and#8226;Analytics: responsible for advanced analytic techniques including data visualization in software like Tableau or PowerBI, critical thinking, problem solving, predictive analytics, and statistical analysisand#8226;Technical Skills: responsible for generating data visualization using a suite of tools like R, Python, machine learning, robotic process automation,and#8226;Knowledge Sharing, Training, Communications to improve skill set amongst BPA teamand#8226;Compiling and presenting information and analysis resultsand#8226;Designing and recommending solutions to meet business needsRequirements:and#8226;BA/BS in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science or related field or equivalent experience/training.
