Job Description:

The Lead Project Manager is responsible for managing the Mobile Automation Project Management group and related Mobile Automation Projects. In this role the Lead Project Manager will develop the direction for the group and manage departmental KPIs. This role will also work closely with other Mobile Automation Management to provide automated solutions for our customers. Based on project demand this role could also require management of high level or high visibility projects.

Experience/Degree Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years of project management experience

  • Prior experience managing people or processes

  • Certifications in project management, product development, lifecycle or process management

  • Experience managing automation projects that include (but are not limited to): automated guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyor systems, warehouse management software, etc.


  • Overall management and direction for the Mobile Automation Project Management group

  • Managing the overall project management process

  • Developing pre-sales project plans and solutions

  • Developing post sales project plans and solutions

  • Holding regular project status meetings and documenting project status

  • Completing and submitting internal and external status reports

  • Proactively communicating information needed by team members to complete their tasks

  • Participating in customer meetings

  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking issues, risks, and dependencies

  • Seeking out, implementing, and documenting problem resolutions

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements

  • Following-up on open issues and action items to ensure they are resolved

  • Ensuring that Dematic leadership has a comprehensive understanding of projects, timelines, dependencies, etc.

  • Supporting business development efforts, as requested

  • This position may include any other duties assigned by the company

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects teams concurrently

  • Ability to understand information quickly, derive insight, synthesize information clearly and concisely, and devise solutions
