Meijer Marketing Specialist, Targeted Campaign Development in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Currently, Meijer is looking for a Sr. Specialist, Targeted Campaign Programs.
This position works closely with the Customer Engagement & Loyalty Team to develop and deliver strategic direct marketing plans and programs designed to grow the business. This role assists in building marketing plans,, creates multi-channel campaigns, analyzes results, works with vendors, Meijer merchants and accountable for managing multiple projects and time-lines.
This position includes ownership of various ongoing projects designed to develop and enhance our targeted marketing capabilities, including customer communication through direct channels, such as mPerks, Catalina, direct mail, email, voice or mobile messaging.
This position will serve as a subject matter expert, the role for seeking efficiencies using their internal and industry knowledge to provide innovative customer data solutions for Meijer and our vendors.
Develops targeted marketing programs to effectively drive customer acquisition, growth and retention
Interfaces with Customer Marketing, Merchandising and Marketing teams to identify effective ways to communicate / deliver personalized targeted communications and experiences
Orchestrates marketing projects with internal partners, outside agencies, media, vendors and outside professionals.
Actively collaborate with technical IT teams to provide technical/system requirements for Logix, SAP and Adobe systems used to execute targeted campaigns.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the marketing systems used to support & execute targeted campaigns.
Reviews the performance and effectiveness of campaigns and adjusts as necessary to achieve the financial objectives / targets
Develops and implements the business processes required to support targeted campaigns.
Coordinates internal and external communications on current initiatives, milestones and roadmaps.
Contributes to the development of various marketing business projects.
Identifies opportunities and challenges for market activity through discussions and analysis of data.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
5+ years of Marketing experience, specifically in Direct, Targeted, Digital, Loyalty, Personalization and various Customer Engagement programs.
Advanced knowledge of customer data systems and methods.
Advanced insight of critical success factors & KPI's for customer data usage.
Fast learner and high performer with a proactive nature and thrives in a fast paced environment.
Able to multi-task and manage complex programs, conflicting priorities
Exceptional organizational skills.
Identifies and implements areas for improved efficiencies and best practices, coach and develop other specialists on the team when necessary.
Able to operate independently without bypassing partner collaboration
Proven leadership capabilities, ability to act in the absence of the manager.
Proven ability to present, interact and collaborate with all levels of leadership.
Proven ability to lead high visibility projects.
Collaborate closely with other key business teams (e.g. Marketing Specialists, Marketing Analytics & Merchandising)
Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills with an ability to prioritize multiple/competing projects & assignments.
Experience developing communications and presenting effectively to all levels of leadership.
Advanced Excel abilities, highly proficient in math.
May require limited travel
