TEKsystems Managed Service Technician in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description:TEKsystems is searching for two permanent positions for their client here in Grand Rapids. They have two openings on their Managed Services Team. One day shift position 7 am to 7 pm and one night shift 7 pm to 7 am. Both are 3 days on 3 days off then 4 days on 4 days off. They have 10 people on this team. They need someone that has helpdesk experience working with customers. They need to provide HIGH CUSTOMER SERVICE and be able to work in stressful situations with customers. They need some system administration experience where they are currently maintaining the following servers Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, SQL 2017, Ubuntu 16.4. They have to help maintain and update how-to documentation on the client RMM Environment.

• RMM: Remote Monitoring and Management software used to remotely and proactively monitor client endpoints, networks, and computers.

They have to be able to implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions. They currently work with Avamar, Acronis, and Zerto disaster recovery products and use vCenter and vCloud to manage, deploy and upgrade VMs and vApps for client RMM projects. They have to manage alerts and alarms for clients.

They do backup recovery as a service (Baas and EBaas) where they restore files and folders as clients need. They will have to do disaster recovery for clients (DRaaS). Troubleshoot and backup issues in the client's environment.

High customer service is key for them because this person will be interacting with customers. They can teach some technical skills that are lacking but they can't teach personality and customer service.
