MiHIN Enterprise Operations Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Position Purpose

The Enterprise Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating operational performance and quality delivery across the organization by ensuring MiHIN enterprise work processes are defined, maintained, measured, and followed. This position performs regular reporting, monitoring, follow up and coordination of the status of all tickets from internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely responsiveness to break/fix and other requests for service within Service Level Agreements and target fulfillment times. The Enterprise Operations Analyst seeks out opportunities to optimize workflows, processes, and tools to continuously improve the delivery of MiHIN Shared Services.

This is a full-time position (remote temporarily) where days and hours can vary Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 8:00PM.

Duties and responsibilities

Primary job duties and responsibilities:

A successful Enterprise Operations Specialist performs the following for highly complex, externally facing operational monitoring and/or process improvement activities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional internal and external communications to define, optimize, maintain and ensure compliance to enterprise work processes

  • Create, generate, and analyze operational reports to assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and monitor corrective action implementation plans

  • Mentors and reviews work of Enterprise Operations Analysts and Coordinators

  • Ensure timely and effective execution of all assignments

  • Use of multiple applications to complete daily job duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in health information management or demonstrated knowledge of analysis methodology

  • Experience or knowledge of health information technology, including, but not limited to, electronic health records (EHRs), patient care flow, and hospital computer systems

  • Demonstrated prioritization and work planning experience

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Expert interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Track record of being a self-starter and problem solving

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous exposure to high tech, public sector, and/or healthcare industries

  • Prior experience with large scale health information technology operations
