General Electric Director - Strategy in Grand Rapids, Michigan
As Director–Strategy, this role will develop and drive strategic vision for cross product opportunities and integration with other GE Businesses for example Avionics, especially on AirXos, Avitas and ABWN. This role will develop and drive strategic vision for major opportunities including combined APM, Avionics, VHDM and engine related plays with OEMs.
Own the develop and own the strategic cross-portfolio vision
Represent the company and our broader digital vision at conferences and events.
Provide technical and business expertise at customer and partner meetings.
Ensure customer value analysis for decision making.
Demonstrate very strong technical leadership and people management skills including solid communication and analytical skills
Responsible to aligning with cross-functional service team owners to understand initiatives and implementations
Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams
Manage strategic business partnerships and relationships through Technical, Financial, Contractual and Relationship Management
Work with customers and product managers across the businesses to understand market needs & vision
Work with product owners and architects to develop multi-generation technology plans
Work directly with customers to understand business and technical needs
Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
Plan and manage budgets related to scope
Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership.
Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the software domain or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of experienceEligibility Requirements:
