AEM Release Manager

job summary:

Our client is looking to add Release Manager supporting DevOps to their Digital Shopping Quality Team. Best suited candidates are those with a background DevOps Engineering and experiences with: AEM, Cloud Manager, and/or E-Commerce. The Release Manager will coordinate all activities, across various teams, in partnership with a Release Train Engineer, to ensure successful releases.

·Own releases by being the single source of truth for release candidate(s) and release scope.

·Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.

·Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.

·Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations.

·Communicate and coordinate release content with the Business as required.

·Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities.

·Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release notes, procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.

·Work with DevOps engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges.

·Maintain release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.

·Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

·Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.

·Coordinate Code Freeze and manage corresponding release expectations.

·Experience with various Agile techniques: SAFe, Kanban, User Stories, TDD, CI/CD, Automated Testing.
