Nestle Intern - Product Development in Fremont, Michigan

Nestle Nutrition R&D Center in Fremont, Michigan is currently recruiting for a:

Product Development Intern

Each intern will receive project assignments related to ongoing research and/or product development for infant and/or toddler food in the Baby Meals and Drinks category. Interns will be exposed to all phases of the product development process, including benchtop/lab scale research and development, pilot scale testing, factory trials/scale up, experimental design, sensory testing, and finished product analysis. Interns will work under the supervision of an experienced mentor and will be expected to provide regular updates formally and informally throughout the internship, including a final presentation. There will be multiple opportunities to interact professionally and socially with interns in other functions. The intern will be expected to function in a cross-functional team environment in all aspects of the internship.

Six month duration. Preferred start date of January 2021 and May/June 2021 (both positions available), but start date can be flexible.

Graduate and undergraduate students in Food Science or related field: must have at least core food science curriculum completed (i.e. food chemistry, food analysis, food microbiology, food processing, etc). Previous experience in a product development course, product development team or as a product development intern is a plus, but not required.

Desired GPA: At least 3.0
