Robert Half Technology is looking for a Programmer Analyst who combines a real passion for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives with an understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements. You will use research and fact-finding to make suggestions about developing or altering applications or databases. What you get to do every single day

• Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met

• Create dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and manages updates to maintain them

• Help develop communication content for particular system changes being implemented in production

• Support end users and other partner groups, providing ongoing training and assistance for a particular application, system or process

• Evaluate and record problems. Collaborates with other programmers to fix issues with code

• Analyze user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Create documents of functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Suggest how, when and whether to proceed with the changes

• Act as the in-house guide on applications, systems and/or processes to internal clients in identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Consultation can take the form of troubleshooting and/or education

• Evaluate processing procedures and suggests ways to improv

Requirements

• Essential project management skills, including project planning and tracking principles; project risk and issues identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation

• .NET Framework experience preferred

• HTML experience

• Deep understanding of C#

• Experience with JavaScript

• Solid understanding of .NET

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements

• General knowledge of mainframe hardware/software and PC operations required

• Good working understanding of programming languages
