Kelly Services HVAC Systems Engineer in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Kelly Engineering Resources is seeking a knowledgeable Embedded Systems Engineer to join a global automotive thermal solutions supplier in Farmington Hills!

The Embedded Systems Engineer will support the R&D and application engineering teams in the areas of software development of CAN communication, system integration/calibration and electronic testing of automotive HVAC control systems. This is a long-term, contract to permanent opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers to develop and specify vehicle HVAC control system requirements

  • Support of R&D products from development to production; including specifications, requirements, software, calibration, testing, and general support.

  • Technically support customers

  • HVAC Control System architecture, diagram, and product definition document generation

  • Develop test procedures, analysis or test tools, execute functional and systems testing;

  • Create electronic and software design documents following the common process

  • Support and verify software, electrical, electronic

  • Tracking technical issues & design changes on production programs

  • Manage development timing between Customer and Headquarter engineering for production programs

  • Build, develop and reinforce engineering relationship with customer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Software, Electrical)

  • 2+ years of automotive experience in engineering Vehicle Electronic Control Systems

  • Sound understanding and knowledge of automotive electronics and passenger vehicle will be an advantage;

  • Good knowledge in hardware and software, Able to work with vehicle Buses, e.g. CAN/LIN

  • Knowledge in UDS and experience for diagnostics

  • Be good at using CANoe or CANalyzer.

  • Comprehensive technical English reading, writing, and clear verbal communication skills are required;
