These camera- and radar-based technologies assist drivers by providing information and acting on environmental data at the front, side and rear of vehicles to help warn drivers of impending danger. They can also provide intuitive cues or actions such as braking and steering inputs to help “coach” the driver to stay in lane or offer convenience functions like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking (CMB), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Centering Assist (LCA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Surround View - 360 degree Bird's Eye View with 3D image perspective and integrated safety. This role is a software engineer who supports development of software in loop tools for an active safety camera system.
Providesvisionalgorithm development using C and/or Matlab Simulink
Ensures that algorithm meets system requirements.
Ensures that all design guidelines are fulfilled
Support and lead Algorithm program and development
Performs Impact Analysis on Engineering Changes
Update design according to Engineering Changes
Releases Design Changes
Optimize algorithm design through simulation, data collection, and testing
Calibration of algorithm functions on bench and in vehicle
Interface with cross functional groups (Hardware, Software, Mechanical, Optics, Manufacturing)
Interface with OEM customers and support meetings
1+ years of combined visionalgorithm and software design experience.
Demonstrable experience working in and leading team efforts.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as customer requirements and international specifications.
Capability to ensure design compliance to customer specifications
Capability to use lab tools, equipment, and techniques to verify proper functioning of algorithm
Experience in C programming
Experience in using data collection/calibration tools (CANalyzer, CANape, Vehicle Spy, etc.)
Experience in active safety a plus.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering required
