Position Summary

Coordinates, assists and manages the activities of the department as it relates to the management and administration of major donor athletic invitations for University Advancement on behalf of the President of the University and the Vice President of University Advancement. These activities are performed for the purpose of filling the President’s Suite, stadium and arena tickets for football, men’s basketball and hockey. Also included is the administration of Wharton Center Performance tickets. Provide administrative support as needed to the executive staff assistants reporting to the Vice President for Advancement and the Associate Vice President for Development as needed.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience office procedures; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

A minimum of two years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Microsoft Office products and accounting procedures, monitoring and reporting; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions; very strong technical abilities; excellent grammatical skills; very strong organizational skills; ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and/or complex issues. Experience in planning and executing high level events and functions; an orientation toward customer service and teamwork; and a proven track record of developing initiatives and processes designed to improve workflow, communication and productivity. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when communicating sensitive information.
