Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Vice-President, Information Security is responsible for building and leading a team of “world-class” cybersecurity colleagues supporting the Ilitch Holdings enterprise. They are responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide information security management program by establishing and maintaining the vision, strategy, and architecture, to include creating, maintaining and monitoring the policies and procedures which promote the secure and uninterrupted operation of all information technology systems across all Ilitch Holdings entities. The Vice President, Information Security is also responsible for ensuring that information security risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated and reported in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the company’s enterprise-wide risk posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identifies develops and implements information security vision, goals, strategy and programs in an effort to optimize processes across Ilitch Holdings family of companies to reduce information and information technology risks.

  2. Establishes mid to long term information security strategies in alignment with Ilitch Holdings business goals.

  3. Recommend and execute enterprise-wide information security strategy and action plans based on risk assessment and analysis.

  4. Develop and lead a robust team of “world-class” cybersecurity colleagues focused on executing information security strategy and established policies.

  5. Work directly with business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes.

  6. Responsible to ensure the company remains in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, directives, policies including developing, publishing and enforcing company information security standards and guidelines including digital and intellectual security.

  7. Establishes the communication of standards, procedures, and guidelines to prevent the unauthorized use, release, modification, or destruction of data in any form.

  8. Responds to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls and directs the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures.

  9. Review existing and new system designs to ensure essential security measures are in place and monitor system usage to detect security violations.

  10. Responsible for maintaining complete awareness of current and emerging information security regulations, technology and threats.

  11. Develop emergency procedures for handling security breaches and oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches.

  12. Identify and recommend budget requirements for needed information security technical upgrades.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Minimum of ten (10) + years of managerial experience in combination of information security, risk management and IT-related roles.

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Risk Management, Information Security or related field.

  3. Proven leader with high energy, confidence, and demonstrated ability to influence others.

  4. Flexibility and creativity in solution design - including leveraging emerging technologies.

  5. Identify and lead industry best practices in area of information security.

  6. Evidence of well-developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  7. Ability to clearly explain and justify ideas when faced with competing alternatives.

  8. Comfortable initiating change; consciously managing and shaping change. Able to handle the stress related to balancing multiple issues and perspectives.

  9. Ability to be on call or assure critical incident response 24x7x365.

  10. Exceptional planning and organizational skills.

  11. Evidence of analytical skills in the development and modification of written procedures, processes, and technical support knowledgebase tailored to a variety of audiences.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Master of Information Security, Master of Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Master of Business Administration or related field.

  2. Restaurant and/or Retail Information Security leadership experience.

Working Conditions:

  1. Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.

  2. This position requires approximately 10%-20% travel which may include travel to restaurant locations and trade shows. This position requires the ability to adhere to the LCE Travel policy.

  3. Requires accessibility during non-traditional hours such as evening, nights and weekends.
