About the OpportunityDMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a VMWare Administrator.Duties and Responsibilities:•Address technical requirements as listed below and provide informal consulting/training to less experienced VMware administrators.•Maintain health and performance of multiple VMware vSphere environments on multiple networks including applying patches/updates.•Respond to monitored alarms and thresholds; develop new health monitoring requirements and automated recovery procedures VMs and ESXi hosts.•Optimize performance of virtual environment including storage and networking.•Develop and maintain vCenter Orchestrator automated workflows; work with team members supporting their development and operation of workflows.•Automate VMware Infrastructure using PowerCLI (creating datastores, taking snapshots, creating VMs, health checks, etc.).•Provision ESXi hosts using vSphere Auto Deploy (automation).•Deploy virtual machines and use clones, snapshots, and templates with use of PowerCLI. QualificationsEducation and Years of Experience:•Minimum BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 6 years of full-time, non-academic IT related experience or minimum 10 years of full-time, non-academic IT related experience.Required Skills/Certifications:•Minimum 4 years of experience with vSphere administration.•Minimum 2 years of experience administering VMware vSphere 5 environments using vCenter and vSphere clients; experience with vSphere v6 is preferred.•Minimum 2 years of experience using vSphere PowerCLI to perform tasks such as creating datastores, taking snapshots, creating VMs, health checks, etc.•Minimum 2 years of experience with vCenter Orchestrator developing automation workflows.•Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years programming or scripting in one or more of the following languages: Java, Visual Basic, C, C++, Python, SQL, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell.•Minimum of 1 year of experience with developing automation using scripting or other programming languages to streamline processes and maintain the computing environments with efficiency.•Experience troubleshooting VMware environments running both Windows and Linux virtual machines.•Experience performing maintenance tasks, applying software patches and upgrades.•Experience monitoring, optimizing performance and scaling of virtual infrastructure environments.•Experience with Cisco 1000v distributed switches; Cisco UCS and NetApp storage experience is preferred.•Knowledge of new DevOp
