The Technical Apparel Developer Intern supports the development of team apparel/accessories/soft goods. Their primary responsibilities are to assist in the development of styles from prototype through approved production sample.
Assist in the development of specification packages from development through to fit approval
Manage prototype intake and measure and evaluate factory samples in comparison to product specifications and construction
Assist as needed in fit sessions by capturing fit notes and taking digital images
Coordinate fit weekly sessions, schedule fit models and create fit session agendas as needed
Assist with the organization of files, samples and tracking to ensure all information is up to date
Collaborate with Developer to understand design concept, consumer, target price, fit and finish for each style in the product range
Assist in maintaining product specifications including technical illustrations, bills of materials, prototypes and construction details
Work with Developers to maintain seasonal information, trim binders and material library
Initiate and approve lab dips while maintaining fabric and trim library
Maintain organization of prototypes, size set samples and reference samples library
Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or apparel-related field and/or equivalent years of experience
Basic knowledge of product development, pattern making, draping, and technical design
Basic sewing and garment construction knowledge
Well-developed computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office suite and Illustrator
Basic level knowledge of product line management and computer pattern making systems
Ability to work in a fast-apced ever-changing environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management
Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
Passion for sports and desire to be a part of a fast-paced and exciting work environment
