Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, lean manufacturing, supply chain management, communications, finance, engineering or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of process improvement experience

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Ability to set and manage partner and client expectations

  • Ability to tailor engagements to meet partner and client needs by drawing on knowledge within similar competencies, such as agile and project management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization including executive leadership

  • Tactful diplomat, problem solver, thinker and analyzer

  • Ability to understand and respond to client and partner needs in rapidly changing business environments

  • Demonstrated ability to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple workstreams

  • Experience with planning, organizing and establishing priorities to achieve results

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with multiple process improvement tools (for example: Value Stream Mapping, Business Process Modeling Notation, Lean Six Sigma)

  • Ability to deliver an engagement with a high demand for frequent communication, urgent progress, and an acute attention to detail

  • Proficiency in communicating and breaking down higher level, complex business strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the external industry of process improvement and how it is applied at other companies

  • Any Lean Six Sigma Certification

  • Agile and/or product development lifecycle experience

  • Client or market discovery and journey mapping experience

  • Statistical analysis and tool experience

  • Financial and/or ROI analysis experience

  • Contributes to an external process improvement community

  • Ability to coach other process improvement leaders to create process improvement frameworks and establish their own process improvement teams

Job Summary

The Team Leader, Mousetrap is responsible for the career and skill development of a team of Mousetrappers. They work with team members to remove obstacles and ensure successful delivery of process improvement engagements from start to finish. They coach, mentor, and teach process improvement excellence in addition to incorporating the ISM's into the fabric of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develops people by effectively coaching team members and working with them to define goals and proactively set expectations

  • Demonstrates strategic thinking by understanding the direction of the organization as a whole and making decisions based on the overall vision

  • Builds trust through meaningful relationships with team members and partners

  • Communicates effectively about what to do and why it is important and proactively communicates critical information to the right audiences

  • Facilitates alignment and clarity of commitments with partners and stakeholders

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the skills required for the Mousetrapper roles with a deep understanding of process improvement competencies

  • Establish and execute team objectives and roadmap deliverables
