You'll work as part of a project team, collaborating with colleagues to solve their toughest business problems./divdiv/divdivOur Sophomore (second-year) Summer Business Analyst program (SSBA) provides first-hand experience with consulting at McKinsey Company to a highly select group of undergraduate students who are members of historically underrepresented groups in the management consulting profession, including Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, and/or part of Indigenous groups in North America. This internship experience is comparable to our Summer Business Analyst program. Candidates who are currently undergraduate sophomores or in their second-year of undergraduate studies at U.S. or Canadian universities are eligible to apply./divdiv/divdivOffices participating include Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Montreal, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley, Southern California, Stamford, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington D.C., McKinsey Digital (all offices), and some of our practices like Corporate Finance, Marketing, and Private Equity./div /div/sectionsectiondivfont class="bold"What You'll Do/fontdivYou'll work in teams of typically 3-5 consultants, playing an active role in all aspects of the engagement. /divdiv/divdivThis includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You'll also have the opportunity to present results and implement recommendations in collaboration with team members./divdiv/divdivYou'll gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. SSBAs receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on their teams. We start our support for SSBAs before the summer with an optional weekend-long "boot camp" in the spring during which we focus on skill building and forming a peer community of SSBAs.
