Job Description

General Motors is seeking an outstanding individual to join our new and exciting Request to Pay “NEXT” Transformation project. The RTP “Next” Transformation project is chartered to fully support and integrate Internal Consumer Organization business processes, optimize/automate business transactions/workflow, provide seamless supplier integration/collaboration, and to supply all the critical internal and external insights to support GM’s ultimate goal to “Buy Better, Spend Better.”

This Analyst position will have responsibility for the following work scope activities:

ERP Integration

  • Lead/Facilitate workshops to blueprint existing SAP ERP ECC/R3 systems and enabled business processes

  • Identify/understand existing ERP customizations and identify standard solutions for all customizations

  • Identify/document country specific legal and statutory requirements

  • Lead ERP to Request to Pay cloud application integration cycle: requirements, design, and implementation

  • Design required integration monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement processes.

Enterprise Integrated Ecosystem- Request to Pay Expert

  • Represent Request to Pay in the Enterprise Integrated Ecosystem Project

  • Ensure that Request to Pay processes are seamlessly integrated with all dependent/related processes: Record to Report, Invest to Divest, Asset Management, Order to Delivery, Master Data Management.

  • Identify/Communicate Request to Pay Integration Requirements

  • Design/Implement an effective/world-class integration solution

Request to Pay Transactional Data Conversion Lead

  • Lead the critical Request to Pay Data Conversion process to ensure that all requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and supplier data are converted to transformation data standards without error

  • Manage entire Request to Pay data conversion cycle: requirements, design, and implementation

  • Support global Request to Pay Transformation pre-deployment, deployment, and stabilization initiatives

Additional Job Description


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Disciplines, Information Technology, Business Information Systems Management or related field

  • Experience utilizing or deploying best in class Request to Pay Technologies: SAP Ariba, SAP Field Glass, SAP Ariba Guided Buying, SAP Ariba Business Network, SAP Cloud Analytics, and/or Coupa BSM Applications

  • Experience utilizing and deploying SAP S4 and SAP ECC ERP systems

  • Experience in leading and facilitating Design Thinking Workshops

  • Agile Software Configuration/Deployment Experience

  • Business Experience in a Request to Pay function: Material Management (MM) Purchasing, Request Management, Accounts Payable, Finance, or Capital Management

  • Ability to coordinate tasks and priorities across multiple projects and complex business scenarios

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in managing, developing, and deploying Request to Pay Procurement Solutions/Transformation projects

  • 3-5 years’ experience in large scale/multi ERP integration projects

  • Business Process Optimization/Re-engineering Experience

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Customer Centered approach to all tasks and deliverables

  • A positive, creative, transformative and dynamic approach to assist in the transformation of GM Request to Pay Processes and Technology
