Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree in data science, IO psychology or human resources management

  • Experience with analytical tools such as Tableau, R or PowerBI

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification

  • Experience creating data models

  • Familiarity with reporting and custom report building in Workday

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced knowledge of basic HR principles and concepts

  • Ability to interact at a high level with senior leaders

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Job Summary

The People Data Strategist is responsible for crafting our strategy for collecting, analyzing and displaying HR data across our organization, as well as collaborating with business partners to drive the effective use of HR data in alignment with the strategic goals of the Human Resources team and the company. This team member interacts with HR professionals and leaders across the organization to ensure the company has clean and governed data inputs, effective and visually appealing data solutions, and a culture of action based on the data provided.

Responsibilities

  • Guide HR leadership to ground decision making in data, set goals and select appropriate measures for what data can inform our decisions

  • Communicate HR metrics and reporting in a clear and engaging manner to drive action

  • Condense large and complex datasets into clear, concise, easy-to-understand observations

  • Conduct profiling on large volumes of data to look at patterns, quality and trending

  • Perform root cause analysis on HR business processes that create data points to improve data integrity, and find ways to improve the process based on those results

  • Lead initiatives to tie together multiple teams to provide analysis and improve processes

  • Identify and analyze business problems, find solutions and help drive decisions in the business

  • Work with technology and HR Information Systems teams

  • Assume a leadership role in improving business processes to ensure clean data inputs lead to effective data analytics
