This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performance development team that is transforming the customer and dealer experiences associated with purchasing GM products, including Electric Vehicles (EV’s). The Finance function performs a critical cross-functional role in driving GM’s business success including improving company financial performance, managing cash to fund major vehicle programs, and reporting results and managing investor perceptions. The Record to Report Integration and Assurance Lead is responsible for the early formulation of holistic system templates for business needs and business entity changes, driven primarily by the Controllership business customer. This role ensures integration of the Global Finance IT end-to-end process areas, such as Record to Report, Invest to Divest, Request to Pay and Order to Delivery. The role ensures that system deployments and solutions demonstrate rigorous compliance to accounting, IT and financial assurance controls.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
First to be engaged in the evaluation of new cross-functional needs, e.g. business entities changes, to formulate integrated system templates. Rapidly assesses new, ambiguous requirements and ensures system designs meet business needs.
Ensures system solutions are designed for strong assurance and IT controls. Develops of high-level process models and system requirements that support system strategy decisions.
Creates short- and long-term integrated system template designs documented in Context Diagrams, Integration Diagrams and Process Definition Documents that document end-to-end process templates and requirements.
Presents, justifies and achieves buy-in, from stakeholders in business and IT organizations, for system designs, business merits and overall company impact.
Maintains a strong oversight of all end-to-end processes ensuring compliance to financial assurance and IT controls requirements.
Is a thought-leader in how to design for controls. Ensures that system solutions and architectures provide reasonable assurance that systems operate as intended, reliably and in compliance with applicable financial assurance laws and regulations.
Is capable of leading multiple projects or a major program through cross-functional influence.
Skills and Capabilities
Expert business and finance process knowledge with a strong focus on Audit, Financial Assurance and IT Control Designs.

Education and Training
Bachelor's Degree in IT with majors in Financial or Management Systems or equivalent experience required.
Master's Degree in IT or Finance business processes preferred.
Certified Public Accountant training desirable.
Typically, 12+ years in manager roles in Finance and Accounting system areas.
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Financial Assurance and/ or IT Compliance experience desirable.
