Read on if you are interested in being a part of this important work!What will your role be?A member of the Operations Team, the Information Technology Support Specialist - Tier 2 is responsible for overall support and maintenance of assigned technology environment ndash; Mac and Windows platform. This includes installation, deployment, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting as it pertains to all technology devices and applications for the district.Role ResponsibilitiesulliProvides workstation, application, and audiovisual equipment support and training; includes district hardware such as interactive whiteboards, multimedia carts, mobile computing carts, laptops, desktops, etc./liliOversees physical and mobile computer cart labs district-wide./liliSetup and deploy new equipment, hardware and/or software; includes upgrades and/or system overhaul projects./liliSets up and troubleshoots hardware and software for specialized testing and/or programs./liliTroubleshoots and repairs computer hardware, interactive whiteboards, tablets and other peripheral equipment./liliCustomizes IT solutions for district initiatives./liliAssists Information Technology Manager as needed./liliManages, prioritizes, and responds expeditiously to help desk ticket requests./liliRecommends and assists with technology purchases./liliSupports and repairs internal telephone systems and cellular devices./liliEnsures proper accounting, tagging and monitoring of districtrsquo;s inventory (hardware, software, warranty and repair logs)./liliMakes needed changes and notes to inventory database; including adding, transferring, and end of life noting to assets./liliReports equipment damage and needed replacements to IT Manager/liliServes on District Technology Committee./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliAssociates degree and/or at least 3 years of hands-on work experience in Information Technology support/liliMicrosoft or Mac certification preferred/liliExperience with troubleshooting and repairing technology devices/liliExperience with telephone maintenance and repair/liliPrevious experience in an educational environment is desired/li/ulEducation/ExperienceulliAbility to distill essential findings from analysis, determine root causes, and suggest ways to improve current practices/liliStrong communication skills, verbal and
