GLWA received AMWArsquo;s 2017 Gold Award for Exceptional Utility Performance and in 2019 became part of the Leading Utilities of the World. style="font-weight: 400; text-align: center;"span style="text-decoration: underline;"Summary/span style="font-weight: 400;"We are looking for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to perform data editing, database design, application development, server architecture and configuration, and implementation services for interpersonal users utilizing GIS technology. Intelligent water management is enhanced with GIS and mapping and goes well beyond locating pipes and facilities. Come join our dynamic GIS team who are achieving exciting results using geospatial technology! h2 style="text-align: center;"span style="text-decoration: underline;"Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)/span:/h2 style="font-weight: 400;"You will develop and deliver information products: maps, charts, reports and other exhibits; maintains enterprise and workgroup-level GIS services, services, applications and databases, building spatial analysis procedures and producing mapping products in response to business unit needs. You will collect information from databases; complete analyses for business partners; craft processes and scripts for use in importing data; data collection in the field; develop improvements to existing GIS software configuration; configure GIS servers and related software, and perform quality assurance activities with regard to GIS data. Our team of GIS Analysts identify, build, and apply GIS data and applications and are responsible for data management, systems maintenance, and performance management of one or more systems. We expect you to develop GIS system and cartographic mapping elements, integrate GIS elements with other technology and coordinate GIS integration with other application software. You will transpose and transform complex data from spreadsheets, records maps, CAD drawings, and other source documents into GIS and/or related databases. You will also maintain spatial data to reflect current assets and infrastructure for water and sewer.
