Job Summary:

The Director, ERP and Data Warehouse will be responsible and accountable for managing all aspects of the companywide HR, Finance, and Supply Chain implementation programs and projects within the Ilitch Family of companies, including Little Caesars Enterprise as well as Data Warehouse goals for a global organization and will direct the success and growth of those departments.

This role includes IT ERP and Data Warehouse product identification for new product implementations, existing software product application support and maintenance, and all development of new projects. This position will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals as well as identifying and managing a team that includes offshore and onshore resources to deliver solutions to enable the businesses to fulfill business goals. This position will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to understand and prioritize data requirements necessary to successfully support the organization.

The Director will also be responsible for annual budgeting related to the platform, producing materials to update executive stakeholders, as well as all aspects of communications to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the overall IT management of all ERP and Data Warehouse initiatives and Programs including Human Resources (HR), Finance, and Supply Chain and ensure methodologies and processes are followed, plans are in place, approved and agreed with all Stakeholders.

  2. Act as a liaison between the business and IT, including driving consensus across multiple teams, ensuring requirements are well-communicated, traceable, aligned to the overall business or solution vision, and managing the prioritization and release strategies representing the business and technical interest.

  3. Responsibility for management of IT resources including internal and external third party, onshore/offshore across requirements definition, design, testing and deployment of changes to production for ERP, BI & DW.

  4. Lead and drive ERP/DW processes, business and technical changes in order to bring more efficiencies to the business overall and ensure high quality, streamlined process.

  5. Work closely with business subject matter experts and leaders to define, improve, and streamline business processes as part of implementing a new ERP product. Educate key stakeholders on benefits of integrated business process and ERP to identify business unit level value drivers and targeted value realization plans.

  6. Work with strategic partners to identify and implement the latest ERP products and solutions for HR, Finance, and Supply Chain to support the business platform evolution.

  7. Build and maintain significant external relationships with service providers, customers, vendors and industry peers. Contact information technology product and service companies is also made on periodic basis. In addition, there is significant contact with all external functions that support the enterprise.

  8. Manage large, complex data warehouse projects from start to finish, complying with SDLC processes. Translate requirements into data solutions leveraging industry best practices following standard SDLC methodologies

  9. Lead extract, transform and load (ETL) design and development activities for data warehouse solutions. Establish architecture standards and guidelines for ETL designs.

  10. Provide advice on data model and data architecture designs for data warehouse solutions. Support data replication design and build activities for data warehouse solutions.

  11. Develop and maintain standard systematic automated deliverable scheduling (monthly, quarterly, annual)

Supplemental Job Functions:

  1. Monitor technology trends in ERP, business intelligence and data warehousing and adapt best practices.

  2. Mentor and guide staff on requirements, design, toolsets, expectations, and interactions with business users on specific deliverables.

  3. Help develop LCE domain and systems expertise on the team to be able to operate more efficiently as well as be better advisors to our business users

  4. Collaborate in implementation of security and handle security requests related to the dimensions/objects in the data warehouse

  5. Other projects and duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or Computer Science required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  2. Minimum of seven (7) years' of IT management experience implementing/running ERP HR, Finance, and/or Supply Chain IT solutions using various ERP software products, including experience implementing at least one core software ERP platform for HR, Finance, and/or Supply Chain – SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Manhattan.

  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ERP technical architecture including infrastructure deployment to support application, use of transports and other technical underpinnings to ensure application performance, knowledge of data migration strategies and tools, and knowledge of how to effectively deploy and maintain IT security within the ERP. Well-rounded experience in requirements gathering, selection, setup, and implementation of at least one full ERP project from inception to implementation as well as leading complex ERP initiatives with positive results.

  4. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience designing and developing data warehouse, as well as experience with extending the data model including Adding Dimensions, Measures, fact Tables, Cubes, Perspectives, Calculated measures, Sets, developing OLAP cubes, preferably in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) with advanced skills in Microsoft SQL servers and with extract, transform and load (ETL) design and build solutions.

  5. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing an IT team of 10 or more professionals including hiring, coaching, development and performance management. Ability to motivate IT teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage multiple projects.

  6. Ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization, act as a strategic consultant with senior management, provide thought leadership, lead and mentor others, drive results, provide process expertise, have proven influencing and persuasion skills, and make challenging decisions across highly complex, ambiguous, multi-dimensional opportunities.

  7. Experience managing vendor selection and contracts.

  8. Superior written and verbal communication as well as the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Master’s degree

  2. QSR and/or Retail Experience

  3. Large enterprise experience

  4. ERP experience with both cloud and on-premise ERP solutions

  5. Experience other BI tools (Microsoft, Business Objects, Tableau, Qlikview)

Working Conditions :

  1. Ability to manage and participate in an on-call rotation performing weekend and after-hours support.

  2. This is a full-time IT position which requires after-hours calls and maintenance of computer applications. You will work with and manage IT staff that support a 24 X 7 IT ERP shop which can include nights, weekends and holiday calls and trouble-shooting.

  3. Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
