Currently, this Tier One automotive components supplier has an immediate & exceptional opportunity for a Cost Estimating Manager within our Powertrain Business Unit.

Position Description:

•Gather, analyze and interpret product cost, financial, statistical and technical data.

•Monitor individual cost request timing four-squares, manage process to meet established timing.

•Attend daily CR meeting as required. Daily review of CR status and resolve issues.

•Work involves accuracy, timeliness and the ability to work within the established policies and practices.

•Assemble and explain all relevant information in support of business cases. Develop viable alternatives and sensitivity analysis of risk factors.

•Prepare, analyze and present business cases to management.

•With minimal supervision, prioritize assignments and multi-task on a regular basis.

•Monitors programs and projects and reports progress, maintains cost books as required.

•Frequent communication with others outside the work group.

•Analysis of specific product cost, comparable product comparisons, capacity analysis and review of multiple inputs and verification of accuracy.

•Plans and coordinates required cross-functional meetings to review progress on individual projects.

•Flexibility to work on critical projects in off standard hours as required.

•Able to travel as required in support of business case development, training and program launch support.

•Maintain accurate documentation of business cases.

•Develop and Perform special analysis as needed.

•Suggest, develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.

•Maintains safety and housekeeping practices.

•Serve as manager delegate and supervise associates as required.

Position Requirements:

•Bachelor s degree required. Finance, Economics, Management or Business preferred. MBA preferred.

•5-10 years related experience.

•Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost structures required.

•Knowledge of Cost Estimating processes and Procedures and ability to implement effectively.

•Working knowledge of ABC costing processes and the application to business decisions is required.

•Experience in DCF analysis and financial modeling of complex scenarios is required.

•Working knowledge of Oracle business systems and ability to utilize data effectively in analysis.

•High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.

•Highly developed oral and written communication skills required.

•Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., for presentations, meeting facilitation, etc).

•Strong spreadsheet (Microsoft office) skills, including high proficiency in EXCEL required.

•Ability to plan and organize effectively required.

•Self-motivated and self-driven individual required.

•Ability to complete projects from start to finish.

•Ability to aggressively follow-up, motivate and support others in providing inputs.

•Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and complete complex tasks.

•Able to react to inputs and changes quickly and accurately update business cases.
