Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

-Design, document, and produce complex direct marketing campaigns from a database perspective.

-Know and manage all campaign business rules for a portfolio of campaigns.

-Design and perform UAT to assure quality in data processing and campaign list production.

-Develop custom/advanced SQL queries to extract, organize and analyze information in order to investigate issues, answer questions, create lists, forecast audience sizes, formulate solutions/recommendations, etc.

-Design and create processes to derive new information from raw data in order to satisfy new business needs.

-Serve as technical subject matter expert: understand underlying data, database, data processes and derivations in order to provide appropriate consultation to stakeholders.

-Serve as liaison to business stakeholders in order to properly formulate business requirements, prepare campaign design documents, and facilitate production in the database.

-Monitor daily inputs into the marketing database to ensure there are not unknown gaps and to assure quality/database integrity. Facilitate resolution of any disturbances to normal inflows.

-Work on intra-departmental and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement of overall campaign management process, including design of data environment, data integrity assurance, and process automation.

-Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and application stakeholders to gain expertise on systems and data to ensure cross-functional system integration.

-Prepare and track CRs for data / database processes. Perform UAT on solutions developed by third party database vendor.

-Perform basic project management and oversee multiple work projects from inception through resolution without need for close supervision.


Required Skills/Experience

-8 years of work experience in database operations, direct marketing operations or related fields

-Advanced SQL proficiency

-Strong problem solving and analytical ability

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to work under pressure

-Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages of development, concurrently

-High degree of personal accountability

Required Education/Training

-BA/BS in business, advertising, communications, computer science, or related quantitative or technical field
