This is a full time position in Detroit, MI.


  • Gather information from current documentation, understand the application and ensure that the documentation is up-to-date.

  • Being able to run SOAP requests and understand and decipher the responses

  • Experience reading and writing SQL

  • Communicate with the business community on functional design options and costs using the appropriate level of detail

  • Run effective meetings with cross-functional teams encouraging participation from all attendees

  • Conduct formal and informal presentations

  • Demonstrate well prepared, stakeholder-focused written communication

  • Communicate complex concepts and data in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Elicit, document, and maintain functional, non-functional, and system requirements

  • Conduct Interviews and JAD sessions with stakeholders, demonstrating:

  • Interviewing techniques

  • Active listening skills

  • Asking the right questions

  • Effective problem solving and discovery skills to understand “real” issues/needs and build rapport

  • Ensure requirement traceability from business requirements through UAT

  • Identify and manage constraints, assumptions, dependencies, and risks

  • Lead the review of partner or client documentation to ensure integration cohesiveness

  • Set stakeholder expectations to ensure activities will run smoothly and they work toward a common goal

  • Responsible for project scope, expectations, and oversight during all phase of the project lifecycle

  • Act as post-launch Subject Matter Expert for internal and external contacts

  • Acquire knowledge of business processes, business objectives and applications of the client program

  • Devise application program solutions based on business problems, including:

  • Requirements documentation

  • Graphical representations

  • Presentations that describe the desired solution or product feature

  • Perform analysis of solution options, research alternative solutions and deliver proposals with recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Work with technical teams to refine solutions based on the features, architecture, and constraints of the relevant platforms

  • Conduct pre-sales assessment and proposed solution activities with prospective clients and product management

  • Troubleshoot technical issues in both production and non-production environments

  • Demonstrate technical capabilities

  • Mentor others on new technologies, design techniques, application enhancements

  • May assist in interviewing


  • 3+ years of experience as Business Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong elicitation and Interviewing skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical ability and demonstrated an understanding of the concepts in the BABOK®

  • Ability to learn quickly and willingly

  • Ability to adapt and embrace change

  • Ability to determine the difference between Functional and Non-Functional requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Auto or Credit Card industry experience desired but not required
