Assessment Associate - Organizational DevelopmentIn this critical role on AlixPartners' Organizational Development Corporate Services team, the person in this position writes assessment reports, interviews candidates, provides feedback in support of our firm-wide recruiting and on-boarding process, and participates in firm-wide organizational development initiatives.The Organizational Development - Assessment Associate is a full-time role located in Southfield, Michigan, and reports to the OD - Assessment Vice President. Paid relocation is not available for this position. Key Responsibilities:•Interpret and summarize results of candidate assessments measuring cognitive ability, personality traits, motivations, and tendencies•Conduct structured interviews and write integrative assessment reports which provide an evaluation of a candidate's role, team, and organizational fit and convey a candidate's likely work style, management needs, and job-related behaviors•Work with hiring managers, human resources professionals, and firm leaders to facilitate hiring decisions and assist in related activities (e.g., conducting needs analyses, discussing assessment results)•Additional duties as requested Qualifications/Requirements:•Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or expected graduation date of January 2019 or earlier; Ph.D. preferred•Minimum 2 years' experience, 3-4+ experience preferred•Understanding of applied psychology methods, principles, and guidelines, including statistical analysis•Interpersonal skills, excellent communication, technical proficiency, problem solving, analytical, and interpretive skills•Ability to work with a variety of people across cultures and geographic locations, to deliver consistent and timely results•Experienceroficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint•Proficient in the use of SPSS or other statistical software•Ability to prioritize multiple business objectives•Must possess characteristics such as: diligence, integrity, professionalism, high level of good judgment, cooperation and team-orientation, and focus on relationship management•Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills required (outgoing, friendly, positive, and patient personality)•Flexibility to work "after hours" as needed (sometimes last minute)•Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment•Ability to work effectively in teams and independently•Able to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information•Must be flexible and adaptable when processes change or urgent situations arise•Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment and be physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the work dayThis description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties or responsibilities.In addition to a positive workplace, the firm offers a competitive compensation package including an excellent benefit program (health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement)..
