In addition, applicants who are selected for this position may be prohibited from transferring or bidding on another position once they accept this position.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESMaintaining the integrity of the corporate Geographic Information System (GIS) database by efficiently entering, updating, or correcting information to record the current status of (and changes to) DTE Electric physical, geographical and electrical facilities. This allows standardized electronic records for information retrieval and supports the production of a variety of products that include electrical schematics, geographic maps, and one-line electrical operating diagrams. Gathers and interprets; inputs, checks and files the required data.•Utilizes technical knowledge to enter new information and record changes to physical, geographical, and electrical facilities (OH, UG, street lighting, work orders, circuit cutovers, TV attachments, field changes, etc.) using a CAD workstation into corporate databases (ESRI/ArcMap, Maximo, Documentum etc.).•Maintains construction drawings from developers electronic data or blue prints.•Creates operating maps (OH UG) for distribution circuits, streetlight, URD, trunks, ties, etc. using CAD and ESRI/ArcMap software.•Monitors the Geographic Information System database for correctness and completeness and takes appropriate action to correct discrepancies.•Performs field checks to verify physical, geographical, and electrical facilities information and customer address assignments where required. Creates all indexes (URD, conduit, street lighting, distribution circuit, trunks, ties, etc.), township maps, and updates the location for residential and commercial customers in the outage management system software.Qualifications•Must have a high school diploma or GED.
