Job Title:

Vehicle System Software Engineer

Job Description & Qualifications:


  • Conduct technical design analysis, planning, requirements analysis, systems integration & architecture

  • Develop system software requirements and implementation architecture

  • Manage, document and communicate systems progress, plans and set expectations for successful solution deployment

  • Drive process, procedure, and methodology to optimize architecture

  • Anticipate potential issues, identify dependencies, and develop validation test strategies

  • Translate system requirements and implementation architecture into testable product requirements and design specifications

  • Lead technical discussions, build and manage relationships with cross-competency teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop Functional Safety Requirement and Technical Safety Requirement based on ISO 26262 and support team in identification of the safety goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field

  • 4+ years of industry experience in implementing, managing and configuring electronic control systems such as vehicle control systems, infotainment, hands-free (Bluetooth, wireless) solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience taking high level business requirements and design to shipping and large scale production

  • Ability to understand complex technical systems, specifically relating to vehicle components and automotive communications

  • Knowledge of distributed systems & software architectures for automotive designs, their multiple abstraction layers and their interdependencies

  • Strong technical and nontechnical communication skills

  • Solid presentation, writing and documentation skills

  • Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency

  • Strong understanding of ISO 26262
