What you’ll be able to do:

In this key role with Ford Commercial Solutions (FCS), you’ll drive innovative solutions for our valued fleet customers. This involves utilizing telematics data from Ford vehicles to reveal unique insights that will enhance and improve fleet management for our customers with the ultimate goal of saving time, money and lives. We’re looking for a highly-motivated professional who embraces Lean, Agile and design thinking practices to lead and inspire a small, cross-functional, co-located team. You will collaborate directly and continuously with product owners, software engineers and designers, to establish and execute a clear product vision. You will:

  • Work closely with business partners to understand and translate their product vision into an actionable backlog for the development team

  • Provide hands-on guidance to the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets and exceeds user requirements

  • Foster an iterative development approach that continuously measures results to inform product improvement

  • Deliver value to our customers through careful and deliberate prioritization of desired outcomes

  • Mentor and train product managers on Agile/XP methods and build skills

  • Identify success stories and share with the broader product team

  • Innovate and iterate on Agile processes with a focus on continuous improvement

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Three or more years of product management experience

  • Three or more years of experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps

Our preferred requirements:

  • Proven success working with an Agile development team

  • Background in software development

  • Experience with Extreme Programming

  • Exceptional leadership, teaching and communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners

  • Experience with Lean/Agile methodology

  • Experience as a designer or engineer

  • Strong background creating and managing backlogs

  • Expertise in leading/supporting user research

  • Experience articulating and validating product hypotheses

  • Ability to collaborative while navigating complex decision making in a rapidly-changing environment
