Job Title: Multimedia Specialist
Job Status: Full-Time
Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Multimedia Specialist uses advanced skills gained through training and experience to plan, develop, design, establish and maintain visual communications for ACCESS using a variety of video and graphics software applications, techniques and tools to achieve marketing and/or information goals of the organization. Employee should be proficient with video, motion graphics, audio, text and other tools to develop digital content that informs, educates and inspires viewers. This individual must also exhibit a high level of creativity and proficiency to execute multimedia communications that excite, explain and entertain, through video creation, innovative visual campaigns to promote the organization-s work and programs and engage and grow our audiences, graphics work and writing for social media and website management and coding. This individual should be committed to getting results in a fast-paced environment and able to handle a heavy and dynamic workload while meeting expectations and deadlines. The employee should expand ACCESS- reach through video, social media and web projects, while courting its audiences to develop meaningful relationships with the ultimate goals of supporting online-to-offline pathways, fundraising and raising the profile of our work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Update and maintain websites, create new webpages and manage other web applications
Conceptualize, plan and create innovative and attention-grabbing visual online and online-to-offline campaigns using social media, e-mail and other primarily digital tools to increase engagement, participation, fundraising and visibility
Work collaboratively with team members on concept development
Create engaging video content for different platforms, including social media, website and offline sharing
Hands-on video scripting, recording and editing, including the setup of video and photo shoots, lighting, sound and other technical details
Record video interviews and create high-quality film clips from raw footage, including editing, sound mixing and inserting closed captioning, graphics or other on-screen text
Edit short social media length videos and longer feature story piece videos
Operate and manage online live video streaming software for virtual events
Operate and maintain video equipment including troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintain an organized collection of raw video files and final output backups
Create visual graphics as well as written content for web and social posts, campaigns, e-mail communications, etc.
Stay up to date on video, web and design trends and strategies and techniques
Assist with additional programs and projects as needed to achieve organizational goals
Graphic design for individual event mailers, event and program flyers, brochures, large format signage, billboards and electronic media
Manage and compile constituted (electronic campaign) lists, and design, send and run analysis on e-blasts and other electronic campaigns
Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Standard office equipment operation and high proficiency in required software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash), video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut Pro), audio editing software and Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Industry-specific technologies, software and hardware
Web coding, knowledge of website platforms like WordPress, Square Space and other web communication tools
Basic use of web programming languages including: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP
File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Strong understanding of campaign metrics, analytics and A/B testing
AP style writing
Skill in:
Photography/videography with familiarity in handling DSLR cameras for photos and videos
Proficient in social media marketing tools such as sprout social, hootsuite, buffer, etc.
Strong visual and creative sense and video/graphic/multimedia design skills
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
Minimum Degree Required:
Bachelor-s degree
Required Disciplines:
Film, Graphic Design, Visual Media or other field approved by Human Resources
and
- Minimum 3 years of experience in video/visual design related experience or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by human resources

Working Conditions:
Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required
