What you’ll be able to do:

The Enterprise Connectivity - Connectivity and Cloud Delivery (CCD) organization is a team dedicated to specifying, architecting, designing, implementing, and operating an End to End Ecosystem focused on delivering Telematics and Infotainment Services to Ford and Lincoln vehicles globally.

The Enterprise Connectivity DevOps Engineer will design, develop, integrate and deploy features supporting the CCD deliverables.

The DevOps Engineer is required to work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers and Product Owners for 10+ product teams to deliver the following:

  • Automate, maintain, manage and continually improve CI/CD pipelines

  • Ensure environment and tools are secured against any security threat / issue

  • Monitor cloud platform stability and perform cloud platform changes ensuring it is optimally designed, secured and scaled supporting high availability and resilience across data centers

  • Maintain and manage Certificate and Active Directory (AD) secrets

  • Manage and support integration of new technologies

  • Identify problems and address them proactively

  • Examine, inspect code / scripts and resolve issues

  • Respond constantly and aggressively to application build, deployment and infrastructure requirements

  • Create solutions that meet Ford IT standards, procedures, security, and policies

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related scientific field

  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure/Google cloud computing and DevOps

  • 5+ years of experience with CI tools such as: Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), Team Foundation Server (TFS), Hudson, Ant, Maven and Jenkins

  • 5+ years of experience with automated builds and Power shell scripting, Python, Jenkins, Nexus, Git, or other .Net technologies

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud computing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Our preferred requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of the Agile Development Process

  • Motivated self-starter with an ability to work on a team as well as independently. Strong desire to learn and make a difference.

  • Ability to apply critical thinking, research and present alternatives

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to details.

  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing skills (Communicate technical design through diagrams, documents, and presentations)
