Connected Vehicles and Services Test Engineer
We are seeking a Connected Vehicles & Services Verification Lead to join our team. This individual will be a seasoned engineer with experience working with the latest technologies (in vehicle data, smart phones, and web services) and skilled in testing end-to-end in-vehicle customer experiences. Primary responsibility will be to perform the project based testing activities including the development of the design verification plan, coordination of test activities, execution and reporting of results to ensure a high level of quality is reached prior to implementation
Solve and Troubleshoot complex testing problems for backend systems/platforms
Execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and/or discussions with Feature owners
Execute and troubleshoot test suites and generate appropriate documentation and test reports
Participate in getting key stakeholders (System engineers, D&R, supplier etc.) involved to provide issue resolution
Provide verbal and written testing status updates to management and key Stakeholders
Foster and maintain good relationships with the development teams to ensure appropriate feature documentation, testability and test coverage
Work with the latest technologies to test the end-to-end in-vehicle customer experience utilizing in vehicle data, smart phones, and web services
Ensure that unit and integration tests developed internally for each product and across multiple cross-functional teams all roll-up to provide full system and interface testing coverage by working closely with Feature Managers and Product Engineers & Suppliers
Thoroughly evaluate the features and functions, Create, update and review test procedures, plans Test execution and coordination of lab and field tests
Specify customer-driven product requirements and User Acceptance Testing
Assess testing requirements and provide estimates of testing effort and resources
Develop new methodologies and automation to verify features in-vehicle
BS in Engineering (prefer computer/mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science) from an accredited university AND one (1) year of related engineering experience OR an MS in Engineering (prefer computer/mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science) from an accredited university
Preferred areas of experience are listed below.
Understanding of system specification, test cases and test requirements
Ability to identify functional problems and suggest solutions
Ability to read Electrical Schematics
Have an understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocol.
Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions
Ability to work independently and with test technicians, skilled trades, and suppliers to resolve issues.
Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively liaison between the multiple cross functional managers including the individual product managers, suppliers, and the IT teams to ensure that requirements reflect the need of the business
System, network application experience
Experience solving test problems using Network tools like CAN analyzer, DET etc.
Electrical Hardware and Software Testing
Verification Engineer in developing and managing all Test Assets (Test Plans, Test Cases, automated and manual Test Scripts)
Telematics/ Infotainment background, and Mobile App verification.
CANoe/CANalyzer simulation and UDS
IT Development skills and Programming experience in Python, C/C , JAVA , HTTP and MQTT
Testing experience in Over the Air (OTA) SW update
Testing experience in module reprogramming and Boot loader
Testing experience in Web services

Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.
Other Essential Functions
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
