Job description:

Advanced Netcom Research Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Responsible for connecting applications to the communication protocol. This includes defining data format in messages, defining bandwidth utilization and message/data stream prioritization, defining protocol for diagnostic vs. normal communication, and Network Architecture and Network Security.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a master’s or foreign equivalent in electrical engineering or related field

  • 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of electrical engineering experience within the automotive industry

  • 2 years of experience: developing CAN messaging and vehicle message matrix

  • 2 years of experience: testing and validating automotive networks

  • 2 years of experience: writing system and subsystem specifications

  • 2 years of experience: defining logical and physical schematics & network architecture

  • 2 years of experience: integrating new technologies into existing vehicle electrical systems
