What you will be able to do

We are looking to you to help deliver incredible driver experiences that exceed our customers’ expectations. This will involve developing, implementing and validating feature attribute requirements and specifications at a system and sub-system level. You will collaborate with research engineers, user experience teams, designers, and hardware/software developers to define, develop and verify the customer-facing attributes and performance capabilities of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. You will also develop new verification methods and work with vehicle, hardware-in-the-loop, model-in-the-loop and other sophisticated testing methodologies to validate your features. You will:

  • Define and detail the vehicle-level acceptance criteria for Assisted Driving features (e.g. Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Centering, etc.)

  • Lead/support the development of verification methods and plans

  • Collaborate with global partners to meet system and vehicle level performance requirements

  • Cascade system-level requirements to functional partners

  • Lead/support the development and sign-off of Assisted Driving features on vehicle programs

  • Support feature calibration studies to satisfy vehicle-level performance requirements

  • Develop pre/post processing tools using MATLAB and CAN tools for data collection and analysis

  • Collaborate with CAE methods team to find opportunities to utilize HiL and CAE for feature calibration and performance verification

  • Plan and execute real-world evaluations of Assisted Driving features via vehicle/HIL/virtual testing and identify system problems and issues

  • Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure delivered system achieves feature requirements

  • Benchmark competitors and monitor public domain requirements

The minimum requirements we seek

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • 1+ year of experience with ADAS technologies

Our preferred requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Experience developing features in the Driver Assistance domain using radar, camera, lidar, ultrasonic sensors and related vehicle systems (e.g. body, electrical, chassis, powertrain, etc.)

  • Familiarity with actuators and control systems

  • Experience applying Systems Engineering principles

  • Experience with robotic verification and testing methods

  • Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems

  • Experience with differential GPS equipment

  • Experience using typical automotive interfaces (e.g. CAN, CANFD, Autosar, Auto-Ethernet, etc.)

  • Experience using Vector CANape, CANalyzer and dSPACE Controls Desk or similar tools

  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink

  • Experience in verification techniques (e.g. design verification methods, vehicle data acquisition/analysis, etc.)

  • Experience with virtual validation methods (e.g. HIL, MIL, SIL, etc.)

  • Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer happiness

  • Good communications and project management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and take initiative

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
