Senior Analyst, Supply & Logistics

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst, Supply & Logistics opening at the Riverview Campus. Please note, this job can be worked remotely from anywhere in the US. While you can be a remote employee you will travel to several locations during a year and you would be onsite daily at those locations.

Function Overview :

Today, you might be tactically supporting a warehouse during an Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) SAP go live. Tomorrow, you may be working on continuous improvements and non-value add waste removal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead go-live activities with North American Regional warehouses according to Project Nucleus's rollout schedule. At the warehouse staff level, this will include but is not limited to: training, testing, configuration & development, cutover activities, & hypercare.

  • 2019 locations may include California, Ohio, Georgia, & Pennsylvania. Must be able to spend 3 months at each location. Arrangements can be made to travel home on weekends if needed.

  • Provides analytical support for warehouse engineering, process development and improvement initiatives to reinforce the goals of Operational Excellence

  • Provides change management guidance, assists with process and equipment validation including but not limited to development, training, documentation and reporting.

  • Communicate and influence all levels of the organization by embodying and exhibiting team spirit at all times.

  • Analyze, refine, and recommend future state processes, best practices, tools, etc. to include in the final design.

  • Assist with time studies, computer simulation, process mapping, etc. to drive productivity improvement projects.

  • Develop value stream thinking and big picture analyses to find opportunities for improvement.

  • Implement and introduce new processes within the warehouse.

  • Develop others, coach, mentor and challenge associates to understand, embrace, and implement lean principles as well as practice the Whirlpool leadership model every day.

  • Align daily and weekly priorities with overall warehouse operation goals

  • Interact with all levels of the organization and practice excellent communication with associates, supervisors, peers, managers, as well as upper management, all in alignment with Whirlpool's Leadership Model.

  • Ensure that decisions support division-wide safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or Manufacturing

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer in a Manufacturing or Warehousing environment, or Operations experience

  • 3+ years’ experience of technical requirements associated with continuous improvement programs, such as lean principles, Kaizen events, Kanban, Six Sigma, process mapping, value stream mapping, best method & work standards development, etc.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels of the organization

  • Proven critical thinking and diagnostic abilities and drive change on the shop floor on a consistent basis through the lean transformation.

  • Experience in applying technical knowledge to solve a range of problems

  • In-depth computer skills related to specific needs of the position, Excel-Pivot Tables, Formulas

  • Strong decision-making skills, with a drive to proactively obtain complete and accurate information

  • Demonstrated technical excellence

  • Ability to develop and propose new methods, approaches or technologies

  • Experience in leading teams on the factory floor in implementing change

  • Experience designing layouts and efficient process flow maps

  • Operations leadership experience is extremely valuable

  • Preferred experience in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) SAP

  • Preferred experience in finished goods warehousing
