Project Leader - Senior Analyst Product Delivery

Function Overview

The Project Leader - Senior Analyst Product Delivery is an entry into the project leadership responsibilities for delivery of new product development projects & derivative models approved in the platform planning phase. This person provides recommendation for all gate approvals and delivery of project KPIs, embedment of Project Management and WPD (Whirlpool Product Development) system tools, techniques and practices in the PLO (Project Leadership Office) community and project teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages cross-functional teams to deliver new product development projects in regional and/or global scale, taking projects from original concept, till final implementation and project release.

  • Takes ownership for project delivery results, Influencing cross-functionally to ensure smooth transition of projects to business owners.

  • Deeply understands and manages all processes and tools of WPD, being a reference inside the organization related to the product development system.

  • Responsible for managing the project in the perspective of all knowledge areas: Project Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, Procurement, Stakeholder Management.

  • Leads the project team in all projects phases, since Initiation, passing through Planning, Control & Monitoring, Execution and Closure.

  • Collect project requirements from all stakeholders, managing trade-offs to meet project goals.

  • Properly use all the tools and processes defined by WPD and PLO.

  • Project leader is the voice of the project, the central point of contact that conducts project meetings, integration events, status reports and gate approvals in all levels of the organization.

  • Manages risks, developing plans to avoid, mitigate, transfer, accept or explore them along with the project team.

  • Manages changes guiding the team to request, analyse impact and probability, and make the go/no go decisions on change.

  • Registers, understands expectations, influences, reports project performance, collects and manages requirements of stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in product development

Preferred Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of project management tools & techniques

  • Experience working on projects in a leadership capacity (Lead engineering, project management, other…)

  • Systemic vision - ability to see the high-level overview of the organization and effectively negotiate and implement decisions and/or actions that support strategy.

  • Business acumen - demonstrated through education and/or work experience.

  • Ability to capture opportunities to maximize business benefits and focus on uncertain events in a positive manner.

  • Problem solving - Able to navigate complex situations and enable the team to think systemically to identify potential solutions.

  • Flexibility - Ability to adjust to a changing environment or situation and to adopt a flexible approach that shifts according to the situation.

  • Ability to motivate teams of people, cross-functionally, to collaborate on achieving project goals.

  • Financial planning, analysis and capital investment management.

  • Time Management - Performing the work required to manage the timely completion of projects.

  • Integration Management - Performing the activities to identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the Project Management groups.

  • Resource Management - Performing the work to organize, manage, lead and develop project team members.

  • Risk Management - Conducting risk management planning, identifying, analysing, responding, and controlling risk on a project.

  • Cost Management - Performing the work involved in planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget.

  • Scope Management - Performing the work required to ensure that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required, to complete a project successfully.

  • Quality Management - Managing the necessary processes, tools and controls that will ensure that project goals will be delivered without deviations to the requirements set.

  • Communication Management - Performing the work to ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, monitoring, and the ultimate disposition of project information.

  • Procurement Management - Performing the work necessary to purchase or acquire products, services, or results needed from outside of the project team.

  • Stakeholder Management - Performing the work required to identify the people groups or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the project; to analyze stakeholders expectations and their impact on the project; and to develop appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decision and execution.
