Instructional Designer & Developer

Function Overview:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for anInstructional Designer & Developeropening to join our Consumer Services organization in Benton Harbor, MIThis position is responsible for supporting Competency Development initiatives through multimedia solutions, including graphic design, storyboard development, scripting, and video execution. A successful candidate for this role can demonstrate exceptional video script development, production, web implementation, and animation. TheInstructional Designer & Developeris also responsible for monitoring and reporting on key metrics around our media solutions. Whirlpool is looking for a multi-skilled, highly competent person who is flexible and knowledgeable enough to play different roles as circumstances require.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Storyboard, script, produce, edit, and post instructional projects

  • Usehigh-quality 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, visuals, and animated sequences

  • Utilization with Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technologies

  • Strong visual design background and attention to detail

  • Design and develop in-person and electronic means of learning

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills, prioritize projects, handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage the proofing process for created work

  • Develop and execute content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) utilizing meta-data and relevant content for optimal positioning proven by testing and metrics

  • You can work this job remotely from Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, or Indiana as long as you can go to Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, Michigan as needed for onsite meetings

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of Instructional Design and Development experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development

  • Experience with high-quality 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, visuals, and animated sequences

  • Experience with Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technologies

  • Working knowledge of professional instructional design & development tools(Articulate 360, RISE, Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC) suite, Google Suite)

  • Product training

  • Agile, Kanban, and Continuous Improvement experience

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities at once

  • Team-oriented, supportive, and always willing to take on whatever is needed for the team to succeed

  • Address issues that arise with a positive and solution-oriented mindset as we are in the business of problem-solving
