Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Human Resources Manager role to join our Global Human Resources organization leading HR for the North American Global Strategic Sourcing and the Global Quality organizations. This position performs as a proactive and insights-driven partner to business leaders to lead organization and people excellence to deliver positive business outcomes. This position will also assess and anticipate needs in designated business units/geographic areas and provide integrated solutions by partnering with other HR functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver business outcomes through development and delivery of business strategy, strategic imperatives, and functional goals

  • Lead the people excellence strategy to ensure the business is fully leveraging organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, leadership and technical capability development, and high employee engagement

  • Balance business strategy, strategic imperatives, and functional goals to deliver business outcomes

  • Operate within a global operating framework that leverages HR Operations, global CoE’s, and standard process and systems to enable two-way information sharing on business needs, analyze trends and metrics within designated business units, develop integrated solutions, programs and policies in support of business strategy

  • Identify talent implications in business strategy, develop human capital strategies and drive business events

  • Identify organizational needs and gaps, drive to build organizational capability and people excellence

  • Partner with business to drive succession planning and management through identifying high impact/critical roles, developing incumbents and successors, as well as identifying global mobility opportunities and candidates

  • Effectively coach business leaders and leadership team

  • Build people leader effectiveness and drive effective talent management by leveraging globally consistent talent calendar and CoE toolkits

  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning and drive Diversity & Inclusion strategy in business units

  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement and effectively manage change

  • Participate with others in completing special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 + experience in Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Degree concentration in Business, Human Resources

  • PHR or SPHR certification

  • Centers of Excellence experience

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to advance the overall talent strategy

  • Business Acumen-Uses extensive knowledge and insight about the business to fully engage in business discussions and lead People Excellence strategy to improve talent and business outcomes

  • Organizational Effectiveness- Creates an effective and strong organization by utilizing organizational diagnosis tools, leveraging organization design principles, and building organizational capabilities in line with Whirlpool’s core values to win against the competition

  • Demonstrated experience using data-driven insights and applying it to inform business decision making

  • Demonstrated experience with leadership development and coaching

  • Change Champion- Partners to lead and sustain change creating an agile and responsive organization

  • Experience working with and within global teams and the demonstrated ability to establish and succeed with global partners

  • Experience living a continuous improvement culture and effectively eliminating waste and driving overall process discipline and improvement
