This position is responsible for the organization of Quality Assurance and Quality Control technicians in regards to the assignment of day to day jobs, prioritization of tasks and feedback to internal and external customers on timing and results.

The person in this position will be well acquainted with all of the QA & QC processes (Floor Inspection, Final Audit, Calibration, Materials Analysis and Environmental monitoring). They will be able to develop a strong environment for teamwork and encourage the continuous improvement and documentation of processes. This position is also charged with mentoring and assisting in training all levels of QA & QC technician and new hires / production operations personal as assigned.

This position is granted the authority to place on hold, accept or reject product on established criteria, and interrupt unsatisfactory processes.

This position promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

**This is a 2nd shift position: Monday - Friday 4:00PM to 12:30AM.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 5+ years experience in a Quality role related to silicone processing required.

  • Knowledge in silicone processing required.

  • Thorough awareness of defects inherent to molding, extrusion, compounding, milling, post cure, and assembly processes required.

  • Awareness of ISO and GMP quality system requirements required.

  • Ability to work with people, be task oriented, and function without direct supervision required.

  • Capable of measuring product characteristics and reading blueprints required.

  • Daily tem organization and prioritization.

  • Supervision and auditing of individuals and processes.

  • Continuous improvement of processes.

  • Training and mentoring of others.

  • Backfill/supplement of QA /QC roles based on production needs.
