Responsibilities

  • Leads the team in defining and maintaining the Java Layer to Native Head Unit API's for all Global Regions.

  • Responsible for the KONA API documentation for NAFTA, EMEA, APAC and LATM

  • Coordinates with the EE Systems group to properly release this document

  • Includes defining new API’s for new feature and concepts

  • Coordinates with the suppliers and other FCA counter parts to ensure the

  • Q&A are answered and documented.

  • Supports Unit testing of the HU s/w using the KAT tool.

  • Supports requirement & design reviews of new and evolving features

  • Supports issue resolution with API's on all HU's (Legacy & new)

  • Investigating Global Bulletin for Connected Services (Hardware/ Software required).

  • Defining and documenting capabilities request for different vehicle architectures for connected services & features.

  • Working with vehicle functional teams, Radios / TBM teams engaging upfront and ensuring all connected services requirements are defined in CFTS, CTS, VF....etc.

Qualifications

  • 8 Years of Automotive Electrical and/or Connectivity experience including:

  • 2 years in automotive electrical development and design.

  • 2 years in telematics connectivity.

  • 2+ years in developing Java Applications for embedded solutions.

  • Requires strong leadership, management and technical skills to manage the team of Application DRE.

Technical Skills Include

  • Application architectural skills

  • API Development skills

  • Ability to review design and ensure they meeting best practices

  • Excellent Organization Skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects and tasks

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to discern what issues need management escalation and when.

  • BSEE, BSCS or Information technology degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Java, Android or other Architecture knowledge to advise future directionMaster of Science in Electrical, computer, information technology or equivalent.

Travel

  • Will be required to drive a company car.

  • Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record.

  • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally (0-20%)
