FCA US, LLC Supervisor, MBD Process, Methods, and Automation, in Auburn Hills, Michigan
This role is responsible for leading a team focused on delivering to the FCA Powertrain organization best-practices in Model-Based-Design as well as ensuring effective management of ECU resources. The goal of this job is to establish processes and methods, oriented to the implementation of high-quality, safe, and efficient production controls software across all areas in FCA Powertrain. For MBD, the team will focus on deploying and supporting practices for model implementation and usage, software implementation through Auto coding, Modeling Guidelines, frameworks for automation, Style Guides and Model Checking, build common libraries of functionality, workflow processes, and other relevant aspects. This leader and their team will closely with controls and software development teams to ensure effective application of MBD in FCA Powertrain.In addition, this person will lead activity to establish and maintain methods and practices for ECU computing and memory resources. This will include working with all teams within FCA Powertrain developing and sourcing embedded control systems. The team this Supervisor will lead is responsible for processes, methods, and tools to measure, analyze, predict, and report on ECU resource usage and allocation across domains, programs, and controller platforms. The team will also help define and maintain resource budgets and work closely with development teams to identify and implement optimizations to meet targets. This role will also lead a cross-functional Center of Excellence (COE) forum focused on Embedded System Resource Management.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university•Minimum of 8 years of experience in software and/or controls development, or a highly-related field•Prior leadership experience of Controls, Software, and/or Software Tools Engineering teams, preferably in a production program oriented environment•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Strong experience with Model-Based-Development (MBD) using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow for production Automotive embedded control systems•Strong experience with AUTOSAR and application in production Automotive controls applications•Working experience with Automotive embedded system hardware•Experience with Hard Real-time embedded applications•Familiarity with microprocessor-based controls and development tools (emulators, debuggers, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:•Advanced degree•Cross discipline working knowledge of Powertrain Controls, Software, and Calibration development activities•Familiarity of prevailing industry standards related to high-quality Automotive software engineering practices such as ASPICE and ISO26262Our benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
