Job Overview


FCA is looking for an Sr. Application Specialist within the ICT Product Development organization. Candidate will work with the Global Automated Driving (AD) team. Candidate will: Subject matter expert responsible for various COTS Engineering Applications and tools. Support the AD Global Software Governance and Processes to ensure strategic alignment on all required applications, manage software licenses, usage, renewals. Work with AD Engineering teams and various software vendors to evaluate and acquire solutions that meet business needs. Work with Supplier to Integrate software solutions into the Platform for Autonomous Vehicle Development. Work with Legal, Purchasing, Finance, and Security for compliance to FCA policies. Monitor purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to Engineering and payments to suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields

  • 5 years of IT application management experience

  • 3+ years supporting Engineering COTS Applications or similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Information Technology or Engineering in the Automotive industry

  • Working knowledge of Engineering COTS applications used in the industry (Ex: Vector, MathWorks, dSpace)

  • Experience in managing the end-to-end COTS procurement, implementation and maintenance process

  • Experience providing solutions to support Engineering automotive

  • Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with peers and business partners

  • Excellent organizational skills; Able to multitask and follow tasks to completion

  • Adaptability to a fast paced environment with frequent changes; Modify existing or define new IT processes

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient with G-Suite and Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience in understanding Engineering design processes

  • 5+ years of experience in ICT, technical support or related field

  • Experience in automotive other major industry communications

  • Experience working with Internal Communications teams

  • Graphic design, Photoshop experience

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development processes

  • Understanding of System Administration, Networking and IT Security principles

  • Minor in Finance; Experience in tracking and managing financials related to software procurement
