Senior Director - E-Mobility

FEV North America, Inc, a leading global engineering services company, is seeking a Senior Director, E - Mobility. Qualified candidates will support E-Mobility projects from a technical prospective. This induvial must be able to interact with customers as well as FEV Senior Management. The Senior Director of E-Mobility will be able to provide engineering expertise in the following major discipline areas centered on electrification:

  • Electrification (E-Mobility) for Passenger, Highway and Off-Highway vehicles
  • Systems Architecture/Design
  • Requirements Development
  • Controls Development (MatLab/Simulink, etc.)
  • Software Development including AUTOSAR and A-SPICE
  • E-Motor and Inverter design
  • Battery Module and Pack as well as Client Development
  • Testing/Validation methods and execution of E-Mobility related components
  • HIL Setup and Testing
  • Functional Safety ISO26262
  • Systems Integration/Calibration
  • Benchmarking
  • Technology Roadmapping Qualifications:

  • Experienced and familiar with R&D; as well as production projects and processes in the E-Mobility space

  • Builds, develops and manages engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives
  • Keeps informed of new technologies, methods, and tools, and takes steps to incorporate same to ensure FEV stays on the leading edge of technology
  • Direct customer interaction supporting business development activities
  • Management of proposal support/preparation
  • Entrepreneurial growth oriented thinking
  • Resource planning (personnel, tools, facilities, etc.)
  • Budgeting, planning and compliance for assigned areas (operating, CAPEX, internal research)
  • Lead project management including profitability for assigned areas (deliverables, budget compliance, quality, timeliness, customer liaison and billing/collection)
  • Quality assurance as part of project execution, internal and external - develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
  • Close cooperation with other business units as part of cross functional programs
  • Coordinates with Business Development and US/Global senior management to direct business development efforts
  • Close cooperation with Finance to ensure proper controlling activities
  • Publications and presentations at conferences or similar events
  • Manages customer relationships in coordination of local and global senior management
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills as well as presentation development abilities
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred
  • 10-15 years of in-depth technical and leadership experience in related roles Able to:

  • Project professional competence to large and small audiences

  • Understand clients' business requirements to qualify and propose solutions
  • Manage business and operational processes International role:

  • Participates in global FEV workshops

  • Communication and exchange with peers at other FEV subsidiaries worldwide
