FCA US, LLC Program Management Specialist Global Jeep Compass in Auburn Hills, Michigan
The Program Manager (PM) Specialist will be responsible for managing progress of vehicle level activities, including pilot and launch phase deliverables. The PM will author vehicle investigations, collect and consolidate results, and publish final approval documents (action letters). The selected candidate will coordinate project timing across the enterprise and lead timing issue recovery. The PM will escalate issues and roadblocks promptly and drive issue resolution. He/she will be responsible to chair Program Management Team meetings, collect and monitor inputs for Engineering Research and Development (ERD) spending and monitor engineering resources per approved spending plan.This Program Manager Specialist will be focused on 1 or more manufacturing regions of the global Jeep Compass. The PM will be required to coordinate teams across multiple regions to achieve common goals and objectives. The PM will coordinate objectives with engineering, product design, manufacturing, product planning, Jeep brand, finance and supply chain management.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program•8 years of automotive engineering experience•Experience managing the development and release of automotive components or systems•Experience leading a project through all life cycle phases (concept to production)•Ability to lead cross functional teams•Ability to set stretch goals, create/sustain energy and drive results•Drives change where necessary to bring projects to fruition•Ability to build strong business cases and communicate effectively to senior management•Ability to create a strategic vision for product portfolio and execute strategic change•Demonstrate strong business acumen and results orientation•Exhibit strong intellect, sound judgment and strategic thinking•Supports and promotes team above self interest•Process oriented and strong computer skills (including PowerPoint and Excel)•Experience managing project budgets and creating business cases•Experience leading change management activities for a program•Experience with leading technical cost reduction initiatives and driving the team for successful executionPreferred Qualifications:•Master of Science or Masters of Business Administration from an ABET accredited university•Program Management Professional (PMP) certified•Knowledge of multiple engineering areas (body, interior, chassis, electrical, engine systems, powertrain)•Strong cross-functional knowledge (engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, purchasing, etc.)•Technical cost savings project leadership applied regionally or globally•Experience with diverse global cultures and languages a plusOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
