Qualifications
FCA is looking for a Hybrid Software System Validation Engineer to support future electrified programs. Come help us make sure the software is bug free before going out to the customers.
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Create DVP&R test plans based on system level requirements (Vehicle Functions, Component Functional Technical Specifications, and Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
Provide feedback to the requirements team when expected results are not defined
Update Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test properties with the correct software and hardware in preparation for testing
Automate test scripts to increase the efficiency of testing
Execute all DVP assigned within the allotted program timing and capture the appropriate data logs (CAN/INCA) to assist in root cause analysis
Report out testing status as needed and document test failures in the appropriate issue management system
Perform initial triage of failures to determine which component in the system is not following specifications
Follow open issues through closure to ensure they are addressed before software is released to the customers
Utilize System Behavior Tests methodology to create test plans based on things a customer can do that may not be defined in the requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Physics, or Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Minimum FIVE (5) years’ experience in Validation and or Hybrid/Electrified Propulsion Systems
Experience with Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing
Highly motivated/self-starter with proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Analytical problem solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues
Ability to use logging tools (INCA, CANalyzer or CANoe)
Familiarity with Google tools (Sheets, Docs, and Slides)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
Systems level design/testing
Ability to develop scripts in Python and or Automation Desk
Familiarity with using Matlab
