Job Overview


The Software Development team is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graphics Software Engineer. The Graphics Software Engineer will work in an agile development team supporting, building and enhancing embedded graphics software for infotainment components delivering visual information to vehicle occupants.

The Graphics Software Engineer will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Developing 2D/3D graphics software systems, implementing production-level software modules

  • Collaborate with Product Design Office and HMI team to explore advanced technologies and research and prototype new solutions

  • Work with other Software and Hardware engineers to develop toolset and libraries necessary to develop and deliver a complete software system

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer science, Digital Arts, 3D Graphics or equivalent

  • 1 year of professional software development experience

  • Excellent programming skills and understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies and practices

  • Experience in Model Based graphics software development environment (ALTIA, Kanzi, Qt, EBGuide)

  • Familiarity with Model Based software development process and code generation

  • Knowledge of programming languages C, C++, OpenGL, MATLAB, Simulink

  • Familiarity with embedded software development, microprocessor-based controls and development tools

  • Knowledge of software integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university

  • 2 years of experience

  • Best practices and tools of software engineering – DevOps

  • Knowledge of controller resource monitoring

  • Experience with any major rendering/game engine

  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks/Blender/Maya)

  • Experience in GPU/Hardware Acceleration computing (CUDA)

  • Experience with Version Control Systems

  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Development approaches

  • Software testing in environments such as SIL, MIL, HIL and on target and back to back loop.

  • Test automation tools
