This ER&D Vehicle Analyst is the Finance single point of contact for all program based Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) spending, including labor hours, headcount, budgets and forecasts for various vehicle and/or powertrain product programs. This individual works closely with the Engineering (Model Planners) and Product Finance (Model Controllers) staffs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Basic controlling oversight

  • Forecast and budget development

  • Actual and forecast reporting, program spending and KPI tracking

  • Review and approval of spending requisitions

  • Cost reduction opportunity identification

  • Ad-hoc reporting/special projects as needed


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; if no Bachelor’s degree must have a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance

  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2 years in Budgeting and Forecasting, Capital Expenditure Investment, Comparative Financial Analysis, Financial Trend Analysis, Application of Accounting Principles, or Program Management

  • Ability and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements, and the drive to enact change in those instances
