Comerica Digital Process Automation Platforms Director in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Digital Process Automation Platforms Director The role is responsible for the design, development, implementation and operations of solutions built on digital automation platforms at Comerica. The role will sustain and enhance the business' position as the preferred solution-provider/development partner, through the leveraging of a strong portfolio of technical products and services. Experience with PEGA DPA Platform and Financial Services industry is highly desired. Position Responsibilities: Strategy * Partner with Technology leadership to actively participate in strategic roadmap exercises. * Work with stakeholders and Technology leadership to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations for process automation and data integration. * Partner with Technology leadership to support emerging technology proof-of-concepts are aligned with automation, data integration and security recommendations. * Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to make certain infrastructure capacity for digital automation and data integration platforms meets existing and future requirements. * Develop and deploy methodologies for testing digital automation platform performance monitoring and providing performance statistics and reports. * Develop and implement all functional policies and procedures including those for platform architecture standards purchasing and service provisions. * Identify recommend and develop cost-effective technology solutions for the enterprise. * Develop strategy for enterprise strategy for automation of business processes and operational requirements where possible. * Develop and implement strategy for API enablement for the organization along with API gateway * Partner with business and domain leaders to develop effective API solutions and roadmap aligned with core architectural principles of service granularity, scalability, authentication, authorization, operational reliability and service availability including DR. * Assist in the development of and accountable for adherence to the departmental capital and expense budgets. * Conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of procurement efforts. * Develop strategy for enterprise strategy for Data file Integration (MQ, Globalscape) of business processes and operational requirements where possible. Risk and Operational Management * Manage vendor relationships. * Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the platforms and systems. * Develop operational run book and procedures for digital and data integration platforms * Manage risk (including TLCM) and ensure risk mitigation plans are actively managed and adjusted as appropriate. Leadership and Development * Ensures the continuous development and advancement of Technology skills and capabilities among teams across technology through on-going coaching, mentoring and fostering an environment of continuous learning. * This position is responsible for cultivating a spirit of teamwork with shared goals and objectives, while retaining and attracting top talent. * This position is responsible for exhibiting a participative management style with peers of Technology and with business partners, providing a positive influence on the workforce and Tech leadership teams. Financial Plan * Develop and implement plan to track usage of digital and data integration platforms by domains/shared services for chargeback or cost sharing models. * Accountable for creating, securing approval for and management of department capital and expense budgets, while exhibiting strict cost discipline. * Accountable for understanding and driving meaningful implications of key financial indicators, and the use financial analysis to create and evaluate strategic options and opportunities. * Accountable for negotiating and managing multi-million-dollar contracts and vendor relationships on behalf of the bank. * Explore and deploy tools and associated practices to build consumption patterns, identify cost optimization opportunities and provide input to financial planning activities. * Responsible for developing and delivering effective proposals in a manner that provides crisp and clear business value to executive leadership. Position Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science or Engineering and 15 years of relevant IT experience or equivalent operational responsibilities * 10 Years of leading and motivating large diverse teams * 10 Years of creating and executing strategic initiatives * 10 Years of leading through operational concerns * 8 years of managing transformation specific to engineering * 2 years of SOA experience with specific experience building a SOA strategy * 2 years of MQ and Globalscape experience * This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
