Connected Vehicle Head-unit Specialist will be the subject matter expert on all head-unit related connected services features and will lead the problem resolution and root cause analysis with internal as well as external teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Master the head-unit operation of all features including Navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Apps across multiple connected radios
Lead the analysis, triage, escalation and resolution of all Head-unit related connected services issues with the ICT and Engineering including Product Development, Electrical Architecture, Quality, and Supplier teams on the Global Service Delivery Platform (GSDP) through cross functional collaboration
Capture and analyze Data Logs to support root cause analysis
Coordinate and collaborate with product and requirements teams to understand desired experience on all existing and future features
Keep track of different software versions and their respective test and launch schedules
Be the go-to-person for all Connected Services Firmware over the Air (FOTA) campaigns and associated progress and related issues
Work with Infotainment planning to understand all upcoming head-unit related changes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, or another relevant field
Minimum 5 years of experience overall with at least 2 working directly with Automotive Connected Radios including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and Navigation
Highly motivated cross functional team player with strong problem-solving skills
Strong sense of urgency and dedication to customer experience
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience working on an Automotive Connected Services Program
Working knowledge of Automotive Electrical Architecture (i.e. CAN Bus Protocol)
Working Knowledge of modem provisioning and SSL Certificate process
